Thank you for visiting our website. I extend warm greetings from the Governing Council, Management and staff of the Institution of Surveyors of Uganda (ISU).
On behalf of the 30th Council, I want to thank the members of ISU for giving us the mandate to steer our Institution forward. I wish to commend all past Councils for sturdy leadership and the continued promotion of the Institution’s brand, both locally and internationally. ISU is undoubtedly at another level.
Last year (2020) had its toll on many organizations and ISU was no exception. As such, we continue operating in the new normal of doing things, due to the ripple effects of the COVID-19 pandemic. Although we were able to hold our 30th AGM physically, albeit under SoPs, COVID19 is still here with us. We have lost many relatives, colleagues and friends. I urge members to continue exercising caution and following all relevant prevention and treatment guidelines.
For anyone pursuing profession growth in Surveying, in Uganda, ISU is the first place of reference. Founded in 1968, ISU brings together the Surveying fraternity to share ideas and to promote Surveying. It is the leading independent organization for the Surveying profession in Uganda and embraces all Surveyors, right from when they start University studies, as they progress as young professionals, and as they mature into seasoned practitioners. ISU promotes the highest surveying standards, professional ethics and best practice that our members embody. It also advises government, business and education on policy and practice.
Becoming a member of ISU demonstrates that you are a trusted professional and provides access to services that will help your career growth. Membership with ISU also links you with likeminded professionals and associations in Uganda and beyond.
